June 2010- Andrea Hayward, Director of DNA QLD, is asked to speak at the Lone Father's Conference in Canberra. Andrea outlined the procedures of a DNA paternity test and the Australian position on testing .

March 2010 - DNA QLD have implimented an online payment option on the web page.Online payemnt is another option for sending in an application and does not require forms to be mailed or posted as the payment and your application form is emailed. We chose Paypal as safeguarding your financial and personal information is an important priority, so we use PayPal so we don't see your credit card details or store them on file . PayPal automatically protects credit card information by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) with an encryption key length of 128 bits. PayPal offers 100% protection for unauthorized payemnts sent from your account. PayPal sends a confirmation email for every online PayPal transaction payment you make. We accept Visa and Mastercard through PayPal.
December 2009 - DNA QLD has reviewed the results of our annual customer satisfaction survey. The results demonstrate the excellent service we offer our clients. 96.4% rated our professionalism as excellent to good, 99.2 % rated our turnaround time as excellent to good, and 94.3% would recommend DNA QLD to others as offering an excellent service. The clients participating in the survey were randomly sampled and the results coded for anonymity.
November 2009 - The Directors of DNA QLD are each a member of a Human Ethics Committee, which involves the evualation of university research involving humans within NH&MRC guidelines. The two Queensland universities are the Queensland University of Technology and Griffith University.
October 2009 -DNA QLD holds its prices for testing in the economic downturn, despite cost increases on equiptment and testing reagents. DNA QLD confirms fast turnaround times for cases with no extra fees, despite other companies charging in excess of $1400 for the same service.
July 2009 - DNA QLD is receiving an increasing number of legal cases where paternity is tested on forensic samples from a deceased relative. These cases are unfortunate, however for some individuals it gives closure and clarifies issues involving a deceased person's will or their estate.
June 2009 - DNA QLD has an increasing number of paternity cases from overseas locations in Europe and South America.
February 2009 - DNA QLD makes a submission to the Department of Attorney-General regarding their proposal to ban non-consensual genetic testing (ie non-legal paternity testing)
October 2008 - DNA QLD is providing DNA Profiling information for the Safe Family Identification cards. DNA QLD is a sponsor of the 2008 Variety Club Bash which raises funds for children in need.
September 2008 - DNA QLD is providing services to The Detection Group.
August 2008 - DNA QLD's Director presents a scientific paper on the Paternity Testing Industry in Australia at the Australian Society for Psychological Obstetrics & Gynecology annual scientific conference.

June 2008 - DNA QLD facilitates paternity testing for clients in Papua New Guinea. Pathology groups in PNG are pleased to offer this requested service to their clients.
May 2008 - DNA QLD is registered with the Department of Immigration and Citizenship for interpreter services. If assistance is required in requesting a service or understanding the test results, assistance from interpreters at the Client Liaison Service is provided free of charge. Call FREECALL 1300 655 820 and ask for an interpreter for DNA QLD.
April 2008 - DNA QLD is the main provider for prenatal paternity testing in Queensland. DNA Qld liaises with private ultrasound clinics to facilitate the amniocentesis or CVS sample and DNA swab collection. Collections are also available in Ultrasound clinics Australia wide. We coordinate the logistics of the sample collection and transport within Australian complying to IATA regulations.
February 2008 - DNA QLD staff have gained a Commissioner of Declarations qualification from the Queensland Justice Department, which allows us to witness the legal affadavit Form 2. This makes collections easier as clients do not have to access a police station or a Justice of the Peace for witnessing of the affavidit. Free of charge collections can be done in our Brisbane office for both legal and non-legal testing.
December 2007 - DNA QLD launches a swab collection video for use with Peace of Mind self collection or for a legal collection with an authorised collector. A link to the video is located in the Forms and Applications
November 2007 - DNA QLD has been named as the preferred provider of Paternity Testing by Healthscope Molecular, Gribbles Pathology and Davies Campbell de Lambert. This agreement also provides for Paternity testing in Malaysia, Singapore and New Zealand. DNA QLD has been approved as a provider for QML for paternity testing in Queensland.
August 2007 - DNA QLD has been accredited by the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) for Forensic Testing (Accreditation Code 15666 for Forensic Science 18.20 Parentage Testing [.01 DNA typing - PCR]) which is awarded to laboratories that fufill the most stringent criteria for Paternity testing. The rating of ISO 17025 ensures that testing will be done with the highest standards of accuracy.
